I Am a Princess by Christina Blaney

Psalm 45:13-15 ESV All glorious is the princess in her chamber with robes interwoven with gold. In many colored robes she is led to the king, with her virgin companions behind her. With joy and gladness they are led along as they enter the palace of the King.

I am not going to lie. Until recently, I hated fairy tales. I hated Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, and all the other fairy tale princesses we hear about.

God has been teaching me differently. The more I learn about Christ’s love; the more I believe in fairy tales. What better story is there than the love of Jesus?!

As the Bible says, Jesus is the King of kings (Revelation 19:16). Jesus is a Prince (Isaiah 9:6).

I know the Bible isn’t a lie. The Bible is God’s love letter to us. I’ve seen the power of God’s written word in my life. So, yes, Jesus is a King and a Prince and so much more.

Jesus came and rescued me out of my dungeon. He took me out of the darkness of sin and out of the clutches of Satan. The day I surrendered my life to Him was the day I became His princess, His daughter, and His heir.

A princess is of royal descent. She’s the daughter of a king. She’s the king’s heir. A princess has access to everything her father owns.

The king has an army around her at all times. He wants to be sure that she’s always protected; even as she sleeps. Her father also wants her to marry into royalty since she is royalty. The king knows that his daughter deserves the best.

Jesus is my King and my prince. He gives me everything I need. Jesus adopted me (Ephesians 1:5). Jesus made me an heir to His throne and everything He owns (Galatians 4:7). Jesus is my Father (Isaiah 9:6). He also has a mansion waiting for me (John 14:2). One day, I will live with Jesus for all eternity.

Yes, Jesus even gave me a prince. My prince is my husband; who is also a child of Jesus. Not only am I royalty; I married royalty.

The best thing about Jesus is that my carriage didn’t turn into a pumpkin. I didn’t have to be home by midnight. My gown is still beautiful and white. I am treated as royalty on a daily basis because I am loved with unconditional, everlasting love. NO ONE can ever love me like Jesus!!!!

If you’re not a princess of Jesus, you can become His princess. Jesus wants you to be His daughter and heir. Jesus wants you to experience the life of a King’s daughter. Most of all, He wants you to experience the love you’re longing for. What are you waiting for?! You can be Cinderella for all eternity.
