Debra Moore, PhD, ACSW, LCSW – Vice President

Debra MooreDr. Moore is the Field Education Director for the Department of Social Work, University of Mississippi. She joined the University faculty in 1996. Her research interests include at-risk adolescents, community building, women’s issues, and the study of hope. Debra is committed to serving Christ through ministering to abused women and children.

Rachael Parker, MSW – Secretary

Rachel ParkerAs a young adult, Rachel made the choice to be a survivor and overcome the cycles of abuse after she joined Overcoming Abuse God’s Way Ministry, in 2011. She has had the privilege to encourage and help women and young children escape violent homes, who were victims of domestic violence through facilitating support groups during her professional career.

Rachel received her master’s degree in social work from the Union University in 2013 and received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Rust College in Holly Springs, MS in 2012. She has been active in community organizations that encompass all fields of social work. She is a member of Faith Keepers Ministry, and served as secretary and a member on Global Gogirl Board of Directors.

 

Alfred Ivery, Director

Alfred-IveryAlfred Ivery is a Drug and Alcohol Counselor while Pastoring The Christ Centered Church in Mid-Town Memphis TN. Alfred reaches those broken those reddened with guilt and shame through Christian Recording Singer/Songwriter music. Alfred’s leadership skills are invaluable when working with ministerial and community leaders.

His years of experience and passion for people cause Alfred to share truth un-waivered. His experience with self-abuse and the abuses of loving family’s member makes Alfred a welcomed voice to the Board of Overcoming Abuse God’s Way.

 

Stacy Dodd, Director

Stacy-DoddStacy Dodd currently holds the position of Director of Operations at Addiction Campuses of Mississippi/Turning Point Recovery in Southaven Ms. Mr. Dodd is a 2013 graduate of MAAP- Mississippi Association of Addiction Professionals where he has also completed the training course for HIVIAIDS for addiction professionals offered by the Mississippi Association of Addiction Professionals. In January of 2015 Stacy Dodd was promoted to the position of State Representative of Northwest Mississippi for the global Christ-Centered recovery group Celebrate Recovery that is now in 27,000 churches in 21 countries.

Stacy knows beyond a shadow of doubt from personal experiences and professional experiences that childhood abuse is a breeding ground for our adult addicted community.

Stacy’s heart for people anywhere, his message of grace in the midst of the storm helps Overcoming Abuse God’s Way direct this work not only in an effective professional manner but with grace.

 

Sherri Ligon, Treasurer

Sherri LigonSherri’s heart for the abused and addicted has landed her a position on the Board of Directors for Overcoming Abuse God’s Way when asked. Sherri is currently the Owner to SRV Business Consulting/MS Money Coach where she handle a variety of business and accounting services for business and individual clients. Process all receivables, payables, payroll and client disbursements for a consumer law firm based in the Washington, DC area.

Before moving back to MS Sherri was from Jan 2007 to June 2013 the Director, Finance and Management Fair Labor Association Washington, DC Coordinate the financial and operational affairs of the organization, including budget management, payroll processing, banking relations, funds maintenance, facilities management, accounting, and purchasing.

Sherri Ligon served as advisor to the Board of Directors in matters of strategic management, budgeting, and financial management. Sherri was responsible for the management of a $7.5 million budget while preparing the annual budget for approval by the Board of Directors, implementing accounting and HR procedures which resulted in the organization moving from a negative cash flow to a yearly surplus of 20%. Sherri also Implemented new more robust accounting software system, Led an internal team to select and implement a new enterprise system for member management and tracking of assessment results, Manages financial and HR operations of Washington, DC, Geneva, Switzerland and Shanghai, China with many more years of experience dating back to the 1980s.

Sherri is certified as an Enrolled Agent Internal Revenue Service and ACC International Coach Federation (ICF) just to name a couple. Your contributions to Overcoming Abuse God’s Way has never been more recorded or secure under the skills and experience of our Treasurer, Sherri Ligon.

 

Kenneth Napper – Director

Kenneth NapperKenneth is a man given to prayer. As such he prays regulary for Overcoming Abuse Gods Way,Restoring Families. He is the husband of Janet Napper, Founder of Overcoming Abuse Gods Way, and Restoring Families. Kenneth has a powerful testimony and victory from the effects of childhood abuse. His gentle spirit and genuineness attracts and gives comfort to men seeking restoration.
